HERITAGE DAY: The One Holiday We All Understand

It’s Heritage Day. The public holiday where every South African pauses to ask the same question: “So… what’s on the fire?”
Because let’s be honest — while other nations wave flags or watch parades, we grab tongs. The neighbour’s already testing wors at 10:30am, your uncle is arguing about rugby next to a cooler box, and somewhere in the background a boerewors roll is making peace between cousins who fought over the TV remote last week.

From Suburbs to Shisanyamas: The Surprising Story of the Kettle Braai

Picture this: It’s the 1950s in suburban Chicago. A metalworker named George is staring at a floating ocean buoy and thinking, “This could cook a mean steak.”
Sounds bizarre? It is. But it’s also the true origin story of the kettle braai—an invention that travelled 13,000 km and somehow became more at home in a Joburg backyard than in its American birthplace.

The Secret Language of Kitchen Design

Every good kitchen follows a set of unspoken rules. Nothing’s written down, but we all know them: counters must line up, drawers shouldn’t get stuck halfway, and whatever you add had better not block the bin. There’s a rhythm to how a kitchen moves—from chopping to chatting to chucking things in a drawer and hoping for the best.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My aankope is binne 24 uur afgelewer deur Werner. Dankie vir die vriendelikheid en ek hoop dat almal hul aankope by jou sal doen. Die meubels is nie net pragtig nie, die pryse is uiters goed.
Sien my koffie tafel.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Purchased an Outdoor Buddy Braai from Khaos Solutions.
When it arrived there were scratches on a few of the parts, most likely during transit.
I reached out to them, and Werner responded to me that same night, around
22:00 that they would send a replacement and would only arrange for collection of the first one once I was happy.
Werner kept me well informed of the progress.
I received the replacement yesterday and assembled it last night.
Can't wait for our first braai.
Huge thank you to Khaos Solutions, and in particular, to Werner.
Many companies could learn a thing or two from them about customer service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent service from Werner and team. The first table/chair set came with damage due to mishandling from the courier company.

However, Werner went out of his way to ensure that I finally received the (new) product, in perfect condition. Communication was on point, and

I highly recommend them.
